Music for Inclusion

Music is a universal language and can be a great tool for all educators who want to apply inclusive education to multicultural classes or towards students with disabilities. If you are looking for tools that will lead you to an inclusive education then this is the best course for you.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Clarify the value of music as a tool in inclusive education

• Gain confidence in applying music activities in their daily routines

• Understand the various types of inclusion

• Have their own action plan for inclusive education

• Learn a variety of music games, music activities and songs that can apply in their classrooms.

METHODS:

A variety of methods will be implemented in order to give both theoretical and practical support to the teachers. The participants will have the opportunity to participate in lectures, workshops, and team activities, in order to have an integrated training.

 

DAY TO DAY SCHEDULE:

Day 1

• Ice- breaking activity

• Lecture: Why Music for inclusion

• Lecture - Workshop: Introduction to the subject

Day 2

• What do we call inclusion today?

• Workshop: Fill your lesson with music and bring the fun!

Day 3

• Workshop: Discovering the world through music and musical instruments

• Introduction to basic elements of Music

Day 4

• Workshop: Music Games,

• Group activity: How to set up a lesson

• Workshop: How to engage the students

Day 5

• Evaluation, Dissemination, Certification
